My former guitar player and best friend Robert Ortega plays on a few songs here. My friend and Anthymn bass player, Danny Z is on the project, too. The only constant in The Project is me, Dan Kasca. There are many players in the project, scroll down and check them
Danny Z has been my bass player of choice all the way back to the start of Anthymn, OUR Rush Cover band. Back when we had Gary Humphrey for our drummer. You can hear Gary on our early stuff like Xanadu, Trees, Spirit of Radio + Danny Z and his bass on "Sweet Karlita & Geddy Lee's Song ""Home On The Strange"
Here's is Rob's brief biography.
I began playing guitar at 15 years of age. My first guitar was a Harmony acoustic guitar. My earliest heroes were Alex Lifeson, Steve Hackett, and Yngwie Malmsteen.
I studied classical guitar briefly in college. At that time, I studied and performed on a Ramirez 1a Student Model.
I've owned a wide range of guitars over the past 4 decades. They include several Gibson Les Paul Standards, Charvel, Ibanez, and Atomic Guitars (a local luthier in Peoria AZ). I currently use two Les Paul standards. One is a stock lemon burst with Gibson Burstbucker pickups and the other is a darker sunburst with a Seymour Duncan Allan Holdsworth pickup in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck positon.
I play through Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series Amps for rock-metal tones and Roland JC-40 amps for the cleans. In the studio, I record with amps made by Marshall, Roland, Fender, and a Strymon Iridium.
"Oh, you're the bass player for Kasca?"
"Why yes I am!"
Ryan was the drummer for the band Collective Soul and has played for other artists such as Paul Rogers.
